E2 - Game Toolbox and Didactical Methods

On Tuesday 2nd March 2018 the Insitute of Digital Games (University of Malta) together with the Faculty of ICT (University of Malta) hosted an eCrisis event titled Game Toolbox and Didactical Methods for primary and secondary school educators. The purpose of the event was to introduce educators on the principles of game-based soft skill training, creative thinking and reflective debate and its importance to school education as well as offer hands-on experience with the developed eCrisis game-based learning technologies and computational tools.

Game design and game-based education experts, joined by experts in soft skills training and pedagogy, introduced the potential of soft skills game-based learning to educators. This included the presentation of the eCrisis Guidebook and the game-based activities implemented for educational settings. Guests also had the opportunity to try out the games that form the basis of the project and connect with the researchers.

19:00 - Play time! – Guests had the opportunity to try out the games and interact with the game designers
